Welcome to Leah Charity Foundation
Leah Charity Foundation is a Christian-based charity in Luwero district in Uganda. We are dedicated to serve the most vulnerable people in different communities around us.
We provide support to the most needy people including pregnant women, mothers and their babies through maternal aids, Education support for children. Healthcare and the basic needs such as shelter, food, clothing and vocational skills
How it started
On March 17th 2017 Good Samaritan heart ministry started up by nursing students Habib and Olivia at Kiwoko health training institute Uganda
It started as a means to give support to the patients who were admitted to Kiwoko hospital. These patients couldn't afford basic need such as buying food to eat and paying hospital bills.
Most of the patients were pregnant woman who could come to give birth but had nothing such as baby clothes, pads and other items needed when a woman gives birth.
Good Samaritan heart ministry has now merged to be Leah Charity Foundation named after Leah, a child who went through a difficult process for her birth. This made us aware that many mothers go through a difficult time during labour without any support.
